Alkebulan is up in  flames. Amr, Beri,and Cau (The rebellious kindred) stage a massive coin heist in their former mother land. They  depart the confines of their native vast land after being consumed by wanderlust. Driven by overwhelming  urge to possess the ubiquitous magic coins back home,they connive and scheme a grand rip-off. Their kin ( The Leader,Spear, Ignoramus ,Kalumazira and  Princess mount resistance against the  trio. Through intrigue,subterfuge and treachery,the trio  with minions kow towing ,make a grand return. Zanj(black man) of Alkebulan (formerly Africa) is a fast-paced treatise on Africa, as conceptualized in the magical realm.

The time capsule explodes and events since antiquity unfurl: pre-colonial Africa, colonial era and neo-colonialism.

The tale is a wrap up of a continent in perpetual turmoil ( loss of identity, slave trade, scramble and partition, corruption and power struggle, to name a few)…and a glimpse of a resolution, as seen through the lens of an African.
