Juma Patrick Kurwa is a former service member of the Nationl Youth Service, Kenya and an author of the book I MISSSED A BULLET and other stories yet to be published. He wrote the book while he was at the recruits training school, Gilgil and later got published in 2021 February. He attribute his dream come true to a number of  influencer in his life; His father Charles Juma who never believed in his writing, his Commanding Officer at the Nys Headquarters, TGTI Senior Assistant Director madam Harriet Mburu and Innovations Officer Sir. Kennedy Guantai and the Director General Matilda Sakwa who created conducive environment for him to nurture his talent.

He got inspiration from the famous criminal turn author John Kiriamiti, his guider Odhiambo Kaumah a literature teacher and philosopher, Euniah Mbabazi a fellow writer and editor and the entire writers Guild.
