LAWY is an acronym for:

L – is lively, our life is full of energy.

A – is for Advantage for we are blessed with many ideas.

W – is for warm hearted, it is you.

Y – is for young, the years never show.

Whereas AFRIK is Africa

The word Lawy is also derived from the Word Lawi in Dholuo, meaning your cloth. Dholuo is one of the African languages spoken by the Luo community in Kenya.

Lawy Afrik Foundation is a Kenyan based fully registered Charitable Organization founded in the year 2019 but established in the year 2021 as a Company Limited by Guarantee.  

The organization was formed with a singular aim of elevating the lives of the less fortunate in our society and improving the quality of life. 

The Foundation undertakes this through a combination of skills training, mentorship, counseling, community service, health and empowerment programs tailored to respond to specific issues in the communities we operate in.
