Vendor Biography

Lenjo Maza is a designer, writer, poet, confessed caffeine addict and lover of three-day holidays. When not channeling the excess energy to save the world from bad design, he jots between writer’s block and shallow epiphanies. He is an avid gobbler of everything Design Thinking and believes in the transformative power of social driven solutions.

To that end, he has worked in the African education and creative space for the last 20 years, at various platforms: Served as Art Director for 4 Kwani? titles published by Kwani? Trust, Advisory Board Member for the British Council’s hugely influential creative platform WAPI (Words and Pictures), lecturer at WAMY College, AVU (African Virtual University), creative consultants for AISA (Association of International Schools in Africa), OER Africa (Open Education Resources Africa) and DeAfrica (Distance Education for Africa) among others.

To keep his innovative juices flowing and reclaim his mind every so often, he paints, dreams and travels while juggling next-to-impossible project deadlines. And revels in the adrenaline of the rush.
