Nzilani Kyale has always had a love for reading, solving puzzles and creating art through various mediums. Her deepest interest, however, lies with both reading and writing poetry. From the age of thirteen she has been composing poems on a plethora of topics, including pieces about social and environmental issues which she is extremely passionate about. Now at seventeen years old, her appreciation of poetry has flourished where great writers such as Emily Dickinson, Carol Ann Duffy and William Shakespeare inspire her own works.
