Great book!

Reagan’s debut novel is a page turner!! 100% entertainment value. I read it all in just 2 days.
The story itself is beguiling. Justin is a man’s man, unapologetically eating life with a big spoon. While battling difficulties at home, he falls into the hands of the beautiful, young Gisela, which coupled with a few other events, threatens to spin his life out of control. It’s touch and go for a while as the writer compels us with raw honesty to consider the themes of family, religion, lust and faithfulness.
The story is told in an openly honest and vulnerable voice which draws the reader in and you can’t help but love Justin. If nothing else, he is real! He is a man subject to his desires but also struggling to maintain his true values. With the story’s surprise ending, you will be the judge of how well he fails or triumphs.
I highly recommend for a quick weekend or airport read. Beware though, the book will not leave you unmoved. Enjoy!

Reagan’s “The Allure of the Forbidden” masterfully explores the complexities of love, desire, and fidelity. This book is not just a story; it’s a testament to Reagan’s exceptional talent and passion for storytelling. Despite the financial challenges that deterred him from pursuing writing professionally earlier in life, Reagan has crafted a poignant and universally relatable narrative.
The protagonist, Justin, is a character who will resonate deeply with readers. From his humble beginnings in a peasant village to his current status as a successful businessman, Justin’s journey is one of personal and professional triumphs. However, it is his internal struggles and emotional turmoil that truly captivate the reader. Reagan’s ability to portray Justin’s unfulfilled marriage with such raw honesty and depth is nothing short of brilliant. The contrast between Justin’s youthful appearance and longing for passion and his wife Katelyn’s old-fashioned ways is beautifully and painfully drawn.
Reagan’s character development is superb, particularly in his depiction of Katelyn and Gisela. Katelyn’s realization of the power of inner beauty, and its necessity to be complemented by outer beauty, is both heart-wrenching and enlightening. Reagan has a gift for unveiling the profound truths of human nature and relationships. Katelyn’s journey is a powerful reminder of the often overlooked facets of beauty and love.
Gisela, entrapped by her illogical but true feelings, adds another layer of complexity to the story. Her character challenges the readers to reflect on the nature of lust and genuine affection. Reagan’s portrayal of her entanglement with Justin is intense and evocative, highlighting the loneliness that often accompanies such forbidden desires.
Reagan’s narrative style is engaging and fluid, making it difficult to put the book down. His descriptive prowess and emotional depth are evident in every chapter. The story’s pacing is perfect, building up tension and resolving it in a manner that is both satisfying and thought-provoking.
In “The Allure of the Forbidden,” Reagan not only tells a compelling story but also delves into the intricate dance of fidelity, passion, and the true essence of love. This book is a remarkable achievement for an author who has overcome significant obstacles to share his gift with the world. Reagan’s transition from a village boy to a renowned businessman mirrors the transformative journey of his characters, making his success story as inspiring as his novel.
In conclusion, “The Allure of the Forbidden” is a literary gem that should not be missed. Reagan’s extraordinary ability to weave complex emotional landscapes into a coherent and touching narrative is commendable. This book is a must-read for anyone who appreciates deeply human stories that challenge and enrich the heart and mind. Reagan has truly created a masterpiece that will linger in the reader’s thoughts long after the final page is turned.
