Between February and April 2nd 2005, there was a power vacuum at the Vatican with Pope John Paul II too ill to take charge of affairs. Vatican doctors went against his wishes and placed him on life support in an attempt to prolong his life, which seemed to have reached its natural end. Many Papabile cardinals, led by Cardinal Aurelio Medici, a 4 foot, 3 inch cardiologist, started plotting on how to succeed the ailing pontiff. Sister Christine, a nun from Kenya, at the Vatican on a scholarship to study Psychology, recruits student leaders in an attempt to stop the Cardinal Aurelio from succeeding the likable Pope John Paul who she respects.
A fierce battle ensues between cardinals allied to the short Italian cardinal and those recruited by the nun who knows his secrets, having been in an enforced sexual relationship with him for two years. Will she outwit the evil cardinals and become Pope like she has always dreamt? She
has support from Brother Edward, Sister Slindile, Dr. Mlachi and Maria, people that are willing to sacrifice money and time to make her achieve her enduring dream.
What would it take for you to stand up against a tyrant? In war-torn Diamboland, fear dominates the streets, and the corrupt Mandherich regime deals swiftly and ruthlessly with anyone who seeks change. Still, the desire for freedom can’t be stomped out of the hearts of the people, and a Resistance is born. Mojawan, a former minister, seeks to redeem himself after betraying his own flock, and Rele and Shuma, sons of the late freedom fighter Chamuka must carry on their father’s legacy. With nothing to lose, and everything to gain, these men find themselves at the forefront of a struggle that will sway the fate of an entire nation.
Two weeks before Kenya’s 53rd independence day celebrations, a secret meeting was held in Guangzhou, China, where the African Union of Left-Handed Presidents was meeting secretly with a North Korean delegation on how best to dispose of nuclear garbage in a deal sponsored by the Chinese government through the IMF. The attendees must be conversant with nuclear physics as well as the Chinese language, which is the preferred medium of communication at the secret meeting. The granduncle does not have a Chinese-speaking nuclear physicist, and for this reason, requests his personal cardiologist to find him one. Unable to find one, Dr. Mlachi settles for Dr. Sally Mungai, who has a working knowledge of Chinese but studied Gynecologic Oncology instead of Nuclear Physics. When cases of cancer become increasingly prevalent from the Upper Eastern region of the country, Dr. Mlachi investigates and decides to stop the program at all costs. Will he succeed?
